What if the Queen started spending money like it is going out of style. And she started to become broke. What course of action if any would the British take? Or would they allow the royal family to become broke?

Still, he had the good grace to stay pretty much out of the way while Parliament was busy defeating Napoleon.

Not trying to sounf ignorant but if the royal family doesn't do anything help me to understand the purpose in having someone sit in a castle and be idolized

But she does have power doesn't she? The UK is a Constitutional Monarchy, but doesn't he Queen have the power to remove officials from office and declare Martial Law?
