The game starts you off with a BOLD WARNING that there is a mission in the game that may be EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE to some people.
I have played it and ill say its very twisted....even the music during the massacre made me feel nauseated.
No lie, when i played it i just walked through as the AI guys slaughtered everyone. I dunno, it just didnt feel right......... even though i know its just a game, it felt morally wrong.
Crazy shit.

Awesome game.

I am on my second run through of the game and my only complaint is how abruptly the game ends without ever actually killing Makarov.

A video game isn't going to help you "brush up" on your tactics, it just doesn't work that way. This a cool game I admit, but it doesn't have a high enough level of realism for someone to learn much of anything from. All Call of Duty games pretty much just consist of run-and-gun action with tactics involved only if you employ them yourself and you may be restricted because of how linear most of the missions are.

+1 People seem to forget things like that. As someone who is studying game design this whole controversy is of interest to me.
I have no problem with games having this kind of content as long as they are properly rated and have warnings (as this one does). |

Personally my favorite mission in the game is the very first actual mission in Afghanistan.
The General Shephard plot twist still has me confused.
