The military should cordon that town off, arrest all residents, and throw them out of the United States!

lol
funny stuff.

Tell me, by whose authority?

The US military has no police powers.
The US constitution does not grant the federal law enforcement agency any authority to arrest, or incarcerate anyone for any drug 'crime' if no state boundary is crossed.

How about you try and grasp the concept of States rights, and limited federal government powers.

This is democracy in action, and communists like yourself hate that shit don't you?

I have a better idea:
How about you take your authoritarian, communist agenda, and voluntarily leave the country to people that understand what Liberty is all about.

Your kind is not needed, nor wanted, in the land of the free.

Bullshit.. all of it.

Pot is no more a gateway to other drugs than your front door is a gateway for you to go out an commit murder.

Maybe we should keep everyone under house arrest because I'm fairly certain that the murderers out there actually walked through their front door into the world.

Why is your friends life in shambles?

Ill tell you why.
Drugs don't ruin your life, but fines, imprisonment, and asset forfeiture do a very nice job of it.

Colorado health board backs off medical marijuana rule

DENVER - The battle over the legality of medical marijuana right now in Colorado appears to hinge on the word "caregiver."

On Tuesday, the Colorado Board of Health decided its previous definition of the word might have gone too far. In a unanimous decision it decided to temporarily throw out its summertime decision that was widely cheered by the medical marijuana community.

The July decision had allowed anyone who provided medical marijuana to a patient to be labeled a "caregiver."

Last week, the Colorado Court of Appeals issued a ruling that the Board of Health members felt cast serious doubt on their earlier vote.

"This is an unprecedented situation," Jim Martin, director of the Colorado Department of Public Health, said. "The conflict is clear and unavoidable," he told the Board of Health inside a packed room filled with advocates for medical marijuana.

Minutes later, the board decided to scrap its definition until it can hold a more formal meeting on the matter in December.

"This is bull---," one person could be heard saying as others simply walked out of the room.

Last week, the Colorado Court of Appeals upheld the conviction of a Longmont woman who had been charged with illegally cultivating marijuana in her home. The defendant had insisted she was growing for a number of patients on the state's registry. In its decision, the court suggested that a medical marijuana provider needed to have a more personal contact with his or her patients in order to qualify under Colorado's medical marijuana law.

"The opinion says you better know who your patients are. If I were [the dispensary owners] I would not dismiss this," Colorado Attorney John Suthers said on Tuesday.

Suthers has long said that the state's medical marijuana law is being used to supply people who aren't necessarily sick to qualify for "legal" marijuana.

"The ambiguities in the law have led to a situation where unfortunately there are a lot of people gaming the system," he said.

Medical marijuana is clearly a burgeoning industry in the state right now. In 2007, less than 2,000 people were on the registry. In July, the Department of Public Health said more than 13,000 were on the registry.

Robert Corry, an attorney who has been a long-time advocate of medical marijuana issues, was visibly upset after the Board of Health decision.

"I think we are going to be exploring our legal options," he said. "They just messed it up. They just royally screwed it up and they made it a lot worse than the way it was before."

Edward Bruder has been on the state registry for years for pain issues.

"The relief you get by having access to medicine that is going to help you when you have tried everything else is immense," he said.

It's not entirely clear what the decision will mean for owners of the many dispensaries that have been popping up all over the state. Technically, the decision for the time-being takes away the one provision that many had believed provided them with security.

In the meantime, people like Suthers believe the Colorado State Legislature will have no other choice but to take the measure up early next year.

"Something has to happen," he said Tuesday.

Nah, just to many sober idiots ^^
I smoke daily, and make more money than you ever will in your entire lifetime. People like you are one track minded. Coming to a site like this, believe what the media says about this plant. When a drug is a drug. Natural man made, whatever. Everyone has different reactions.

Just like every single one of you are clueless with the new virus. This is not the 1950's or older. Everyone does not live the same. Everyone does not eat the same. All the neighborhoods are not the same. The water people drink is not the same. All the regions are not the same. All variables involved with creating a unique body chemistry for each individual. Therefore creating different reactions, immunities and 'mutuations'. And with the ease of traveling compared to the 1800's, virus's can spread faster and mutate into many variations.

Any ways... some people should not smoke, I agree, and some people should. My boss knows I smoke and knows I code better while in a low to moderate state. Also considered additional variables, what your mother was in-taking while pregnant with you. I have a whole pharmacy in my system. When sober, I shake and people often accuse me of taking hard drugs. Which I am against. When not sober, views change.

It is all based on perspective and only what you 'think' you know. You only listen and regurgitate what you hear without even researching or understanding what you are taking in. You just take it for what it is and too literally.

And no one can base any sort of opinion on something unless they have experience it themselves. Otherwise your just guessing. But still falls back on perspective. How you are perceiving the topic.

I could just say your a stupid arrogant American. But I could be wrong. But statistically... something that mostly does.

Your just a sheep walking in the dark holding a candle. Following any direction given to you by the media.

But the reason I believe it's a gateway drug isn't for the reasons you think. it's a gateway drug because once you try it you realize it isn't bad. So you try other drugs to see WHAT ELSE THEY HAVE LIED TO YOU ABOUT ALL YOUR LIFE!!!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 810220

Yet another one track mind.
First of all... as I am do not normally 'bash' spelling and grammar. But, uh, you spell like a drug addict.

People who have no self control or will power and do get addicted to hard drugs and ruin their life. Good. Im sorry... but the idiots deserved it. One less idiot kept from reproducing.

No idea where you are getting your information from, but you can not say that 'anyone' who does drugs is like this or will turn out like this.

As much as I disgree with what my pops does, as far as 'hard drugs'. The has had his job for 15 yrs! Pays his bills on time and takes care of business. I smoke daily. Never went to school for Web Programming. Lots of smoking and diligence. First web job, started out at 45k a yr. 3 months later 60k at 5k raises each month. And they were still asking me if it was enough. 10 yrs experience of cooking. Pastry Soux Chef. 10 yrs construction, starting out when I was 8 with my step dad just carrying wood until I was 19 in the Navy when I was a Navy SeaBee NMCB16 (Course not smoking then). Some of the best developers come to me with questions and solutions. And I am dumb because I smoke?

Lets look at some of the reasons why some would be led into this direction.
1. Lifestyle - Thinking you a gangster, hard core punk ect...
2. Home life - Abuse parents? No parents? Overly protective parents-which actually pushes kids.
3. The school they go to. Peers which have above issues.
4. Peers - how your peers treat you. Popular or not. That geek everyone makes fun of.

Some people wake up, some do not. I luckily grew up around ALL of this. My parents can tell you stories to every drug, for example, in Fear and Loathing. Seriously. As a smoker, I have accomplished things you could never do. Been through things you will not ever go through. Did not have a family think you would end up in prison because of the direction you were going. But yet, used to be dealers and 'enforcers' themselves. Involved with Asian gangs in LA. At 18 I woke up. Now successful with 2 full blown careers I use under my belt. Traveled to other countries. And more responsible than most 'sober' people.

No one truly thinks about what they are saying.
All you do is talk.

You also look at people like this to be very negative people. But yet look at yourself. Whats the first thing that comes out of peoples mouths or think of on most topics or other people. It is usually negative. Unless... you either know them, find them attractive (in any way or form) or 'think' they have a trusting face. Immediately judging or trusting and being negative before knowing. People simply hate me at first, think i am trying to be a smart ass or think I come across as a pompous asshole. But the moment we get into a decent conversation, feelings change. So basically, you do not know anyone unless you have a talk with them. Many variables involved there. Do not be in lala land like you think stoners are when someone is talking to you.

Lastly... stop believing what movies portray pot as as well as what the media says about it. Doing so simply shows your arrogance.
