Where are you from? How does your country fair in the ongoing crisis? What are the big news in your country that connects to the crisis? Any interesting facts will do, or just a simple hello!
I myself am from Sweden, it seems that were doing pretty okay in the crisis. Our official unemployment is somewhere between 9 and 10% with around 2% being totally without anything to do. The other 8 or so percent of the unemployment are the chronic ill, students, on unemployment benefits etc etc.
But, Sweden is a small and export-dependent country so if shit hits the fan and the big economies start to crumble, so will we. Both SAAB and VOLVO, our car companies faced bankruptcy earlier this year but it seems that at least Volvo will make it thanks to investments from the Chinese. At least one of our major bank is also heavily exposed to the balkan countries and seem to be on the verge of collapse posting the biggest ever loss today.
Other then the car companies and the banks and their scandals in the balkan region our MSM pretty much talk a lot about nothing as far as i can tell. |

I am in Austria. Here there is no crisis, no scare, people have just a little less money in the pocket but their concerns is still about the TV flat screen.
There is no scare about swine flu here, hardly experienced and the swine flu shot will not be compulsory and with neither preservatives nor strengthening agent.
If my business would not have lost most of it's due to week exports, I would say it's business as usual but actually I don't care because I currently have no wish to work and am sleepy most of the time.
Official unemployment? I guess around 5%. |

Now I like having new threads every couple of minutes, there is much to read when nothing else to do. I also find it fascinating.
German thread is much reflecting GLP, translating many of the channelings but since I would have to register there and I don't here, I answer there. |

A quarter of the youngsters have no job. Lots of immigrants.
In the suburbs 50-90% without jobs. Lots of immigrants.
Huge shortage of doctors and so on. Lots of nursing personal in hospitals etc sacked.
However, too many people in office jobs (PTB-jobs)
Growing criminality. Growing protests from the suburbs.
(attacking police, firemen and putting cars, schools and shops on fire)
Schools give too high figures to the (mostly immigrant) students.
Everywhere we see the degeneration and it will have its consequences.
I think as well the balance is poor, and the futur does not look bright.
New values have to be developped. |

Can it be, a fellow Swede?
I have a very subtle feeling that Sweden is following the footsteps of the U.S, degenerating education, exporting our production and moving to overhead/office jobs, suburbs getting the long end of the stick. Can you feel it too? or am i just imagining? |

I lost my job too I´m trying to get another job but it is hard to get a good job in the ICT industry even if you have experience and all the right certificates. It´s slim pickings for a Linux Engineer. There are some jobs but I would have to move to anotherpart of the country and no job garantuee. Fortunatly I saved up (with the right bank) for just such an occasion. |

Whether I am convinced that they are aliens or not is not an issue. Here they are responding to my posts in channelings or awkwards posting. If I post this on the German forum, I would not even have an answer in 10 years although we would really DIE to get an answer there - there are so many people frustrated that the GLF is only putting its interest on America and ignoring Europe. |

We still have positive GDP growth rate, but its no surprise when youre building several stadiums and many stretches of highways at the same time, the sheer volume of these investments is holding up the economy. And, well, shopping centres are as packed as never before, nobody's thinking about saving or stopping spending, not at all. Yeah they are rare here too but I've run into a few through the years, but they are mostly New Agers and sometimes there's just to much drugs involved and to little "science" for me to truly sync with them. I Have one friend though, He's more of a historian then a spiritual type but he's open to weirdness and different views on things and so we get along somehow. It's nice to pick his brain :]
But i think the general public is pretty much the same everywhere in the western world. It's not about truths, Ufos, high strangeness, quantum physics and fractal universes. Nah, to the general public that's just for nerds and high intellectuals, that i think are still viewed as weirdos and abnormal people. The public is much to busy watching some shitty soap opera on the tele than entertaining and expanding their consciousness with knowledge. And it was like that during rome, with the gladiator games, not much have changed really since then, we've just become really good at refining our surroundings into gadgets and trinkets that make life easier, same old crap, different package! |

I have to wonder why the US and European countries have been flooded with third world poor immigrants who have such different cultures and values.
African immigrants are now being imported to Anchorage, Alaska. It makes no sense at all, for one thing there is too little sun this far north for dark-skinned people to thrive, they can get little if any vitamin D from our weak sun.
The US in general is being over-run with immigrants, especially Mexicans, though I hear many Mexicans immigrants are now trying to return to Mexico! |

Obviously, the industry is suffering, but at the same a lot of services jobs are outsourced to Poland. I can only talk about the situation from the perspective of the capital, which has something like an under 5 pct unemployment rate compared to the national unemployment of almost 11 pct.
But, yes, it is just enough to drive 20 km out of the city and find yourself in a very poor area. Generally, yes, the development here is uneven, but it depends very much on local governments rather than on the general state of the economy.
You can drive through a nice, clean town and just a few kilometers down the road find yourself in a completely ruined, dirty place.
Companies have been cutting costs, reducing benefits and all that, but still people here have been through much worse. Now it is nothing compared to early 90's, when whole sectors of industry were shut down.
Obviously we cannot go long without any demand from abroad, but there is so much domestic demand here and so much need for infrastructural investments, that this economy can go on. In terms of durable consumer goods, home appliances, electronics, cars, etc. our market is faaar from being saturated unlike Western European markets
I'm just afraid in the coming years we'll be dragged down by ballooning deficit which unfortunately may mean even higher tax burden |
