when I'm really tired I have this occur pretty often
I'll close my eyes and instantly see moving shadows, faces, landscapes etc
Occasionally they will become clearer and more defined as I focus on them more.
I'm not talking dreams but instant images, it gives the sensation of looking into another world and freaks the shit out of me sometimes
Anyone else experienced this??? |

i have ringing in my ears all the time and when i close my eyes i see a reptilian eye looking at me only for a second. |

When I would do this I would focus on someone and see through their eyes...
A few years back I focused on my boyfriend at the time and with my eyes closed saw a movie screen like I was watching a movie in the theater, then I found out he was at the movies.

close you eyes in the dark
push your knuckles really hard into them for 30 seconds or so
when you release the pressure you'll be seeing all kinds of shit.

Geometric shapes that come and go, and especially the faces.
I had a near-death experience a few years ago and it was much the same only more clear, more real. I think these are glimpses into the astral plane or the Other Side or the 5th dimension, whatever it is, it's real. You're spot on by describing it as "looking into another world." |

But yes anyone know what this sensation actually is?
Sometimes i get the feeling that its not all in my head and i'm looking into another world (i'm not on drugs) haha |

Out of curiosity how often does this happen for everyone? There was one time a few years ago when me and a mate were crashing out in the loungeroom after a big night and we were seeing the same image ( a woman) simultaneosly
freaked us out but no one believed us |

Well when I first began to notice how I could see things, it was right around when I was learning to astral project. Honestly I don't know what causes me to see things, but it feels like my mind leaves my body and travels different planes and I can see it all.
Now when I do this, I see wormholes and tunnels... Like I'm flying through another dimension.
I myself would like to know how this happens, it's like my mind is freeing itself and my brain doesn't know why lol :)

Yeah thats what i thought re the woman, the previous night we had stayed at a hotel that was over 100 years old i had the thought that this might of been linked i.e. A spirit attached to us or something? |

It's funny you say this, I try to focus on my third eye and fail at opening it.. But when I don't focus is when I see images.. So I wouldn't know it's my third eye :)
And the answer to your question, I cannot tell id I am prepared. Like I had said, my mind is reaching out to what my brain doesn't comprehend. Do I desire the search? Yes.

Wanted to also say, you ARE looking into another reality. And it's just as real as this one, we just can't access it easily. That doesn't make it less real, though. Think of it as real, accept it as real, and you'll probably have more experiences. |

However I dont know if I want to go any deeper, I'm not sure if there is anything pretty out there. Everything i have seen so far has been borderline freaky to be honest
How does being tired play a part in this by the way? I'd like to think its me just lightly dreaming however its always similar images when i experience this |

It sounds like you'd be good at doing OBEs. Here's a playlist that lays it out and how to get REALLY deep if you want. Although, you are guaranteed to get scared out of your wits a few times in the process so it may not actually be what you want.

It might be you're mind is being "overstimulated" by events in your life or by tv/conversations, etc.
When one is tired, the mind wants to rest, and generally we go to sleep. If one's "over-tired" the mind can race, like an engine who's clutch isn't engaged.
I think there's possibilities of these images being glimpses into other realities and also possibilities that they're due to being overstimulated/overtired/racing-mind.
Different causes, similiar phenomenon. |

I am currently under perfect conditions for this thing as I've only had 4 hours sleep
Currently doing this briefly (5 mins at a time) and noticing some interesting things
I started the other thread about visual snow, and have noticed that when I'm seeing these visions just before it kicks in it gets extremely dark and the visual snow dissapears
Which is amazing since usually i see it 24/7 otherwise, even when eyes are closed |
